You can find the most hatred and intolerance in the religion section...which is ironic.

I agree that it is a bit harsh. You have a right to your opinion, and although they were just standing up for their own, I hope that they didn't just take it out on you. If they did, that's entirely unfair. Besides, homosexuals are human beings, and they're exactly like us, and maybe a bit more open-minded about things. Plus, if everyone can differ on food likes and dislikes, and how they like to prepare it with other foods, then why can't people differ on what gender we prefer to go out with? Is it really that wrong? Says who? Where is it written "Homosexuals are wrong"? Discrimination against homosexuals is like an excuse for people to be racist in another sense. If people don't like it, I think they should either keep it to themselves, keep an open mind, or try to be polite about how they go about saying they're disapproval.

That's just my opinion, though. Sorry if I offended anyone in any way ^.^;;

P.S.
I agree with the person who said that you can sometimes find the harshest things in the Religion and Spirituality section.

After reading the answers to this question, I've come to the conclusion that people in the Polls and Surveys section are more accepting than the people in the LGBT section...LMAO

Yeah, the R&S section is truly harsh...like the first person on this board said, it's a wonder that there is so much hate and intolerance in such a section.

That's a shame...because they ARE people and SHOULD be treated like anyone else...But you must realize that 6 thumbs down is actually nice (and also hypocritical,) for them...The bible demands that homosexuals be STONED TO DEATH along with heretics, which is what you are when you disagree that homosexuals should not be killed for being different.

He is such a loving God...

No one is born gay, regardless of what the gay community is trying to sell. Please read on. Don't shut me off. The gay lifestyle is a chosen lifestyle, but It should not be condemed by anyone. We don't have the right to judge anyone based on anything, much less their sexual preference. It's a mistake too many people make. You aren't harming me by being gay, therefore it really isn't any of my business. But take heed. You will be judged one day by God. But never by me.

Well Christianity states, "hate the sin but love the sinner". So Christians are supposed to love gay people even MORE than people who don't follow Christian principles....right? But they can love them without believing their lifestyle is correct.
