Why is it when I asks questions on here about werewolves, I ether get threatened or a bunch of emails telling me I need to back off.
See the way I see it, if i didn't get them then werewolves are not real but since I have gotten a few, it means there real.
I'm not the type to back down from anything, if I set my mind to something then I'm going to go through with it.
See I have set my mind on finding out that werewolves are real, for my own personal reasons not for anyone else's. So if anyone could help me, please do...

I think it depends on what your theories are regarding mythology, I have often wondered if they exist myself and love a good movie about them, but most are quite disappointing aren't they?
Keep up your searches Nikki there's nothing wrong with being curious, not in my eyes anyway. Good luck in finding out the truth.

Yes, your right werewolves are an Archtype, meaning they crop up in one form or another in many different mythologies. Pretty much everywere has some manner of Skin-walker, were-canine, or occaisonally were-feline, but this is rarer. If someone is threatining you with their alleged lycanthropy, dont worry. A true werewolf would not dare reveal himself. There not so hard to kill as you might think. Any weapon will do if its blessed by a Holy Person or made of silver.
A skin-walker might be threatining you. This is completely different from being a werewolf! Its when you put on animal parts (Skin, horn, teeth, claws, etc.) and are transformed mentally or physically into an animal. They can safely threaten you because they have the power to control there animal-selves and can transform back at will. Although any weapon can destroy them, this is the right edge for them to threaten someone. Interestingly, the majority of these people beleive themselves to be werewolves rather than skinwalkers.
Besides, Lycanthropy isnt a religion or club like those threatining you pretend it to be, as all werewolves have the instinct to kill other werewolves unless they submit to being in a pack, which is against their conquiring nature.
Just wondering, what manner of personal reasons are you inquiring for? I checked your account and basically all of it is werewolf questions. Do you know a werewolf? Do you want to be one? Or are you just curious? Everything I just gave you is through my own systamatic blending of world folklore, not through encounters with a real werewolf, although I am inclined towards their existance. Whatever you need info for, be strong and resist evil (Namely werewolves). No matter what they claim, all werewolves are evil. At first they may be good, but as time passes the wolf-demon begins to bleed into the man-spirit and vice versa, and the wolf is always evil, thus the werewolf will always be evil unless theyve only been a werewolf for year or two or have effectively ted the wolf.

Hey there,
I am a writer and a werewolf FREAK!!! I love the lycanthrope species to death. I don't know if they are real or not, but they sure are exciting! I can see where you are coming from, and who is to say that they aren't real? I think if it's conceivable, than it's believable. My family is always telling me that there is no proof, that it's impossible. I think that proof is the way a human (or lycanthrope) measures the superiority to all other races. Proof is stupid. I think that werewolves are real and alive around us. If you want some more info or conformation, check out these books;
Werewolves: by Daniel Cohen
The elemental encyclopedia of mythological creatures
Also some other good reads about my fav subject (werewolves):
Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause (also a movie)
Red Rider's Hood by Neal Shusterman
Wereling trilogy by Stephen Cole
Werewolf Rising by R.L. LaFevers
Cycle of the Werewolf/ Silver Bullet by Stephen King (also a movie)
Wolf Moon by Charles De Lint
New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
and my book in progress - Bloodbrother
hope you find what you are looking for.

I understand that this is the way you see it. But the fact that folks threaten you doesn't mean that werewolves are real. You know, some people just like to harass and abuse others. And some folks are just outright delusional.
You may want to set priorities for your research and interest. Also pick and choose your battles. Some arguments just might not be that important. Plus you need to keep yourself safe.
Being interested in werewolves, whether you believe they are real or imagined, is fine. You can get into reading fictional books on them, enjoy the mythology of shape shifters. You don't have to prove anything to anyone.
As for emails, you can block them. Or set those addresses to spam. Or change your email address and don't make it public.
If you get any outright threats, let the local police know.
I also encourage you to be flexible. Deciding to not engage in a debate or fight isn't necessarily "backing down". It can sometimes be the wisest thing to do.

The word werewolf or man-wolf was first recorded in old English the 11th century in the Ecclesiastical Ordinances of king Cnut (1017-1037). it takes a deal with the devil to become a werewolf. The person wishing this has to put on a wolf belt given him by the devil himself. This person general does this in order to kill an enemy. All accounts of this type of possession have ended in the death of the were-wolf after a terrible time of killings and murders. You wont find any werewolves in the states just like you wont find REAL vampires. These creatures dwell in third world countries were there movements are nearly impossible to track do too the lack of technology. I pray for your sake you never meet up with one as it could be the last thing you ever do.

As an alternitive to tradititional inquiries about werewolves, consider expanding your search to include chupacabras, who bear a striking resemblance to werewolves.
From Wikipedia: "Another breed of Chupacabra, although not as common, is described as a strange breed of wild dog. This form is mostly hairless, has a pronounced spinal ridge, unusually pronounced eye sockets, fangs, and claws. It is claimed that this breed might be an example of a dog-like reptile. The account during the year 2001 in Nicaragua of a chupacabra's corpse being found supports this conclusion. The corpse of the animal was found in Tolapa, Nicaragua, and forensically analyzed at UNAN-Leon. Pathologists at the University found that it was an unusual-looking dog-like creature of unknown."
I'm a believer!

They might exist. About the best piece of fiction I've read about it is the book The Wolfen by Whitely Strieber.
They are creatures with senses so keen that they can detect a person from miles away by smell alone. If they don't want to be seen, they won't be.

Unfortunately werewolves are only folklore and legend. Invented in the studios of hollywood. There are spooky stories of them in "Transylvania" the alleged birthplace. A human that turns into an animal that kills for blood, not real!
I don't want any emails so please dont forward.
Thanks
