I own one of each both 2004's. They are identical other than the space behind the third row seat. The sububan has about 18 inches more of space as does the overall length.

Space and a little difference in gas mileage, depending on which gear ratio you have. The only gear ratio difference is between any "normal model" Tahoe/Suburban and the "Z-71 Tahoe/Suburban," in which the Z-71's get worse mileage. But, if you're looking at big SUV's, you're probably not worried about mileage. Good Luck!

The Suburban will have a truck frame and will be more heavy duty.
