Habitat Restore is a nice place but you have to check there almost everyday or let one of the customer service people know what you are looking for.
Also, check out the local IWANNA paper for items. Bad thing here is that you have to travel all over just to see the piece. Also don't overlook small mom and pop furniture stores that may have damaged pieces at a huge discount.

Habitat for Humanity has second hand stores in lots of communities now. You can get a bargain and do some good for other people at the same time.

Try a Goodwill, Salvation Army Thrift store or a Habitat for Humanity store. You can watch your local newspaper too. Some times people will almost give away good furniture when they decorate.

Check your local thrift stores. Prices can range from anywhere in the low thirties to over two hundred dollars. It all depends on the materials, how big the furniture is, what condition it's in, and how you're gonna get it home.

Try the PDSA charity shops, they have special home and electrical stores. I managed to get a lovely secondhand 3 piece suite for 75 quid, plus they have free delivery, and you know your money's going to a good cause.
