If its molar mass is determined to be 460. g/mol, determine its molecular formula and exact molar mass.

I think the empirical formula is C10H16O. If that is correct then I can do the rest of the problem. Can someone help me out?

In 100g of the acid, we have 78.90g of C, 10.59g of H and 10.51g of O. Dividing by the respective weights we get
6.575 mol C
10.59 mol H
0.6569 mol O
Divide by 0.657 mol to get
10.0 C
16.1 H
1 O
So I agree with your empirical formula of C10H16O. You should find that the molecular formula is C30H48O3.

The quark isn't the fundamental.. yet it is not factor, so I wont p.c... And quantum physics proves no longer something. Quantum is ALL approximately danger. So the terrific you're able to do under QM is "some thing has an exceedingly very low danger of coming from no longer something, till you look at after which it the two did or did no longer come from no longer something." the brief answer is "Formation of a Non-0 Higgs Ocean" takes place good around 10 to thirty 5th stages ok. (fairly frggin warm) then your gluons initiate keeping apart out of your electro-vulnerable, and you get Quarks and such slowing down sufficient to start to interface... So the place did the Non-0 Higgs Ocean come from... ask lower back sometime in early 2012 and we can help you be attentive to for particular, yet for now, arguable. I don;t think of we EVER get to a factor the place you are able to stop asking "properly the place did THAT come from then?"
