I am currently in school to get my Associate's Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I will graduate next year, but I am already looking to add a few pieces to my wardrobe that would be good for interviewing, job hunting, etc. I'm thinking a women's business suit with a skirt, but I can't find anything I really like that is also appropriate. I don't mind paying a little more, since I consider it an investment in my future, so don't suggest Walmart or anything like that. Where is a good place for career clothing?

I love Express...I just graduated too, and their suits are completely professional, but without looking old-ladyish (if that makes sense!) Also, they fit better than other stores that I have tried...Hope this helps!

Sears seems to always have a selection of more business looking outfits-less trendy and more conservative-a black or navy blue pantsuit is commonl y found there. I rently had an interview and purchased the black pants there I used a white shirt and a sweater I already had to complete theoutfit though I could have bought the coordinating jacket. Make sure it looks decent from the back view-many jackets are quite short these days and are not flattering to everyone.
Also Ross or Marshalls have some good finds from time to time -they came from the other stores after all.
Burlington Coat factories have wide selection of clothes.
You can try Nordstroms/Macy's of course
If you want more upscale-try Coldwater Creek,Chico's but be prepared to put a big chunk of money into it. Unless you are working in a very high powered upscale office, you may not need all that.
Since styles change often I say its foolish to put too much into your interview clothes -you may find the work culture is much more casual and you wont wear it again until new fashions come out or your size has changed etc.
I've heard whatver the usual is for the company ,dress onelevel up for the interview. dont go too far and look too overdressed for that particular office.Keep it simple. More important to be well groomed and confident ,have enough sleep and arrive early well prepared is more important than what exact brandof clothing you buy. Dont over do the high heels-something that isnt showing wear and is comfortable isbest. Make sure you are comfortable as that will show in your confidence if its not pulling anywhere or dragging off your shoulders etc. Make sure it wont be too hot or too lightweight for your weather and if it has a jacket you can comfortably remove that jacket and still look appropriate. Hold the perfume. Stay light on jewelry and accesories .Something that wont be too wrinkly after driving and sitting in the waiting room(like cotton or linen)Best of luck

If you are okay with spending a little bit of money then I would definitely suggest that you go to Banana Republic or Ann Taylor (Ann Taylor or Ann Taylor Loft). I know you said not to suggest any stores like Wal-Mart but Target has great career clothes of better quality for relatively cheaper prices.

Ann Taylor or Ann Taylor Loft, Land's End or Jones New York, New York & Co. all have quality clothing, stylish and moderate conservative. You get your money's worth along with quality.

Depending on what level of money you want to spend, I'll make three suggestions:

$$$ Louis Vuitton

$$ Kenneth Cole

$ Banana Republic

All three are great options for business/casual wear, and you can find outlets at most major city mall areas.

Where is a good place to buy women's career clothing? The best place to buy cheap Bikinis online is at Amazon.com where there is a huge collection at very low prices.

All women should have at least one suit sitting in their closets; suits are incredibly versatile garments that can be worn in a variety of settings.

Since a suit comes in two pieces, a woman can mix and match the jacket and bottom with other pieces of clothing to create an endless variety of outfits.

There are three kinds of women's suits: pantsuits, skirt suits, and dress suits.

Personally, I really like Express. I find that their dress pants fit me well, [I wear 'The Editor' pants] but I'm not entirely sure if they have skirts...you ought to look at their website, anyways.

Ann Taylor is always a safe bet and you can get a nice suit - pants or skirt - for a reasonable price. If you want to pay more, go to Theory at Bloomingdales.
