Eternal life is not short, it's this life here on Earth that is short, compared to all of the good things that a person could find to do. Also, life is too short usually to hold a grudge, get mad about little inconsequential things, and that's where the phrase usually pertains - life is too short to wait in a long line for something you don't need, or to worry about looking fat in your swimsuit. Just enjoy the sunshine, and don't worry about it!

easily, some Gnostics have self belief that Jesus prompt Judas to betray Him. God used Judas for His purposes. I gained't bypass into the completed prevalent Christian bit, because i'm effective you've it memorized by using now, Jeff. something of it isn't a threat. The plan became labored out as God the author needed it to be...and as such ought to no longer/won't be able to be altered. To even think about it really is an workout in futility.

We all are by nature 'Doubting Thomas'' and don't believe unless the subject is standing right before us to "test" with our limited 5 senses. Jesus' focus was to save us from what happens after we die; not anything to do with earthly things.

Our perspective of time is different from God's also. He invented time for us, since we are literal by nature and can not understand or comprehend things that are not structurally designed. And our perception of time changes as we age, as well. See these examples:

Ask a person of 5 how long ago was 5 years, and that child will respond "That is my ENTIRE life ago!"
Ask a person of 10 how long ago was 5 years, and that person will respond "That was half of my life ago!"
Ask a person of 15 how long ago was 5 years, and that person will respond "That was 1/3 of my life ago!"

And on & on you can go with that.

Eternity is beyond our comprehension because we have never experienced it personally; and it is beyond even the definition or realms of time (or even our limited vocabulary!).

For the non-believer, when you mention going with Jesus (that He takes you to eternity with Him), it is beyond their ability to accept because there is no faith for a foundation. And faith in Jesus is the 'ticket' to that eternal non-ending destination called Heaven!

Our life here on earth is short, but if we know the Lord Jesus as our personal Saviour and Lord then we will not die spiritually but have eternal life. When we belong to Jesus we have abundant life - which means life to the full!

Are we all really sure if Heaven or Hell exists? If there is a God, why doesn't he come down to Earth. Religion is very confusing to me. How could God make the Sun in i think it is in the 3rd day if there was no Sun to start the days. SO confusing.

But life is short. probably they say that because we aren't sure if we live in the after life.

I guess they mean that human life is short. They say life is short so live it to the fullest, so you can pretty safely say that what's meant by this is that we only have so much time on Earth with all your loved ones, so don't waste the time you've been given.

Because in the human body you will live a short life when compared to eternity. When Jesus said you'll have life and have it more abundantly, he means your life will be full(it wont be boring), plus, when you die to this earth, to this human body, you will have eternal life that never ends.

THEY..... Don't know what THEY are speaking about!

(Hebrews 2:15) and deliver those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

AND......

(Hebrews 9:27) And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment,

WHEN I DIE IN JESUS, I will be Much Better OFF than I have Ever BEEN!

Thanks for A Good Question!
