I was just wondering if there were things like temp and mucus I would notice if I happened to be ovulating on the POP. I know it's only effective if strictly adhered to, I'm on it to regulate my super heavy/painful menstrual flow (it's working great) and I'm very good about taking it at the same time everyday (I set the cell phone alarm). I can't go off it, and I'm getting married soon and we don't want to use back up protection in case it isn't actually working as a contraceptive. We would just use NFP, but that does nothing for my awful periods. Anyone know anything/have experience with this?

You may notice a change in your vaginal mucus. I would recomend double checking with your dr to see what they say. Also, ask your dr about what could be causing the awful periods to see if something like endometriosis or hormone imbalances such as with the thyroid and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome could be causing the problem.
