now that more troops are being deployed and the troops there are extended, will we have enough Military left to go after the 9/11 attackers? I'm still waiting for the Criminals to be brought to justice, as we were promised.

they don't have to look very far to find the culprits responsible for 911

You need to keep a few things in mind:

- Right now, the U.S. has over 10,000 troops in the area of Afghanistan, searching for Bin Laden. That may be smaller than the number in Iraq, but its certainly not insignificant

- Keep in mind that there is a pretty good possibility that Bin Laden is actually in an area of Pakistan. For political reasons (e.g. an uneasy alliance between Pakistan and the U.S.), the ability to go after Bin Laden directly by sending in U.S. troops is limited, so adding more soldiers won't help much. (If and when Bin Laden is captured, it will likely be due to work by intelligence agencies such as the CIA or FBI, rather than the military.)

- Although Bin Laden is a well-known figurehead, ultimately he is just one man (assuming he's still alive). Eliminating him will not stop terrorism; however, eliminating the conditions that lead to terrorism (due in part to oppressive political systems in the middle east) WILL stop terrorism. It does SOUND good to say "We're gonna get Osama", but in the grand scheme of things he's irrelevant.

To answer you're question only about 20% of our troops are in Iraq right now. So yes we have alot still at home ready if we ever need them. Don't forget that almost everyone in the Navy is at home only about 5% of our air force is over in Iraq.

But to answer you're question about going after the 9/11 attackers. Who are you talking about? I think it's safe to say that the Men who where on the plans that went into WTC's are now dead. The master mind behind 9/11 is in jail and everyone else that pland it is ever in jail or dead. The only one we don't have is osama bin laden but then again no one has seen or heard from him in over 2 years now. More then likely he's DEAD! Even when he was in hideing he was still makeing vido tapes. Why do you think he just stoped makeing them?

GWB thinks his big Iraq attack is fighting terrorists. Also, he can't remember things for more than a few hours, he's not going to remember he promised.
