Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are ministers, right? Well, Jesus taught us to forgive, so they should be preaching this. But no, they will not let anything rest even if you get on your knees and beg for mercy.
When Mel Gibson apologized, Sinbad said it wasn't good enough.
Michael Richards was practically skinned alive.
Blacks need to learn to forgive and forget.
Just because they suffered as a people doesn't give them a licence to stand in judgement over the rest of the world.
Many people suffer and don't act the way they do.
Forgive and forget and move on!!!
Your question? You bet your bottom dollar he should apologize, but if he does is another ballgame.

this is a rhetorical question. JJ never apologized for any racist (anti-white) statements or outright wrong statements he made in the past. the reverend is just not an apologetic guy! i find him more respectable than Al Sharpton, but only minimally so. on the other hand, those boys, while no criminals, are BAD BOYS or just silently went along with some bad boys by dehumanizing and treating poorly two unfortunate women. in a way, the slap on the wrist they got - they deserved.
the real EVIL guy is not Jesse J but the prosecutor, Nfong - now HE needs to apologize bothe to the boys and to teh nation!!

Yes and here's why. From 1 year ago.
REV. AL SHARPTON, CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST: I think that there are certainly a lot of racial factors. Whether it is directly in the case, we'll see, because some reports said that there was racial language used. But I think that when you look at the racial atmosphere, when you look at the fact that there again were the allegations of racial statements, when you look at a lot of people feeling that they have been treated differently, where this girl has basically had a character charged in the media, there is a lot of racism that's in the air. Having said that, I commend a lot of the blacks and whites who stood vigil and to come together in that community to stand up for this girl. So I think in the midst of this, there is some good.

Who says the Duke Lacrosse team deserves an apology from anyone...
Have you ever known a bunch of upper-crust Ivy League white boys who were not racist?
The girl WAS definitely raped but they couldn't prove the charges since the DNA did not match their suspects... they were guys who were not on the team but still at the party...
everyone was over the legal alchohol limit and there were no other girls except strippers and prostitutes there...
most attendees failed the drug tests or were able to avoid taking one in the first place...
Fact -
April 5 _ Lacrosse coach Mike Pressler resigns. Duke President Richard Brodhead cancels the team's season after authorities unseal a search warrant containing an e-mail from player Ryan McFadyen in which he says he wants to kill and skin strippers. McFadyen is suspended from school. He later says the e-mail was a joke and is reassigned to the team.
Two schoolmates (and a number of locals) attested to the team as being "unruly and unsavory" and suggested their guilt.
The three young men and their lawyers accused the news media and the public of disregarding the presumption of innocence and portraying them as thugs in the weeks following the March 2006 party that led to the allegations.
“It’s painful to remember what we went through in those first days. and it’s just a testament to all of our character we never lashed out, we stood there strong,” Evans said.
Wow - what truly upstanding citizens they are!
What kind of kids (under 21) have drinking, drug-induced stripper parties and no girlfriends anywhere in sight?
Their upstanding parents are all such fine people too...
(you people act like you've never seen the movie 'The Accused')

That's an interesting question. I think that anyone who is falsely accused deserves at least an apology.
It would certainly give a lot more validity to their points of view if they were man enough to admit they made a mistake. For some reason a lot of Americans find it hard to say they're wrong and it's so silly really because everyone is now and then.
Good question.

Absoultely... if he can go after the head of Don Imus for an offhand remark then he should be man enough to apologize for a mean spirited and hateful remark.
But you won't get it because he is Black and their 'equal' rights are more equal than the Duke team's 'equal' rights.

That'll be the day! Neither Jackson nor Sharpton will admit a white man was falsely accused.

Yes, but he won't. He never has & never will apologize for anything. He will blame everything on white racists.
