A french fry can:

-ooze or drip grease
-burn your mouth
-steam or sizzle
-bend (if they're limp) or snap (if they're crispy)
-exude a wonderful smell
-burst with steamy, fluffy potato goodness

Verbs don't describe.

Do you mean an adjective then? You've got salty, greasy, yellow or brown, crunchy or crispy, delicious or disgusting.

Verbs for MAKING french fries include frying and cooking. You can put these in the past tense to describe them, but then the words serve as adjectives, like fried or cooked.

Verbs for french fries would come from the process of making them, I guess. They can sizzle, smoke, pop, crackle, hiss, jump, soften, dry, though I'd never say these words "describe" french fries.

Hope that helps with your poem.

Verbs aren't usually descriptive. You could have an adjective which describes it (crispy), or a verb which describes what someone might do to or with the the french fry (crunch, cook, etc.).

If it is used in a poem, I think you can use a bit of imagination.

French fry' does most actions while it is being 'fried'

'French fry' 'sings(or cries, or screams, or dances, or twists)' in a frying pan?

Perhaps you can add some human factors to French fry and choose the word needed in your poem.

What does a french fry do?
It gets eaten...if it's unlucky.
It gets lost...(under a sofa) it it's lucky.

The little french fry is just lying there
Next to my burger, middle of my plate
And I do not think it is very fair
For that little fry to have such a fate
