some people need scientific proof to believe

Are you serious? I mean, I don't mean to sound like I'm bashing you, but this almost looks like a joke. There is always someone posting this question every now and then, and I have to wonder if the person is clueless or if they are fishing for all the sorts of answers you have got to know are coming. I'm happy for you though, people have been very nice so far, reasonable. A question like this just screams for a bashing.

Now to actually answer your question, there are many reasons why people don't believe that "Jesus is Gods son and that He died so that they could live with him in eternity" like you said. I am assuming you are cemented in that belief, and as it has been pointed out already by other posters, another person might be similarly cemented in a different belief. So as much as you believe what you do, they believe what they do. Another reason might be a stronger belief in logic, science, or simply history. I won't run a train into other people's beliefs, but from a historian's point of view, there just isn't the evidence to support that, nor would science really agree with you. So that could be part of it. Some people are more open to faith than others, and people have different faiths. We shouldn't be critical when people disagree with us, or do not see things the way we do. Let's say you're christian and I'm pagan. We are both still people. Does it really matter to you that not everyone believes the same thing as you? Broaden your horizons and keep an open mind is all I ask of you. I hope I answered your question well.

Do you believe that Mohammed was the prophet of Allah and wrote a definitive book of religion that supercedes the bible? No? Why not? The question is as valid as yours and the answer will be much the same.

a person's belief system is hard to crack, only thing you can do is show let your lite so shine... and open your mouth and let God out. Remember, the Holy Spirit draws them, just be there when they ask.
