i have been reading a book about what death row prisoners have for their last meal,and i was surprised to find that the majority of people wanted a hamburger!!!..you would think that if it was your last meal you would want something a bit better than a hamburger..the other thing they wanted was dr pepper drink....that surprised me too....do you think when they ordered dr pepper they were thinking "whats the worst that could happen?!".........
hamburgers and doctor pepper............most strange....................

i live in scotland and we dont have the death penalty...but if i was getting executed id some haggis and irn bru....

lol. The idea of satisfying gluttony right before death strikes me as extremely weird - and somewhat symbolic of the fragile state of the human condition. I personally would skip the meal - but...I'm strange.

Maybe they wanted a big, juicy burger. One of the most American of meals. Dr. Pepper has its biggest following in the American South, so perhaps you were reading about death row in the Southern States.
Also - how much time do they give them to consider their last meal? If not much time, what beats a good hamburger with all the trimmings?

From what I have heard most inmates never eat their last meals but give them to other guys on the block, as a last gift. I imagine their nervousness plays a role in decreased appetite.

If I was about to die, the last thing I would want to do is eat. I would request that my meal be given to a homeless person or something.

selection 12 from mcdonnalds with barbegue sauce- make it supersized- and a dr.pepper. 6 ounce steak marinated in Dale's sauce and cooked medium uncommon. man made crab meat and steamed white rice and garlic butter on the section. 2 liters of dr.pepper.

I don't know what your question is, but for my last meal I'd have scallops. I love scallops, but they make me blow chunks about 4 or 5 hours after eating them. So I've had to stop eating them, but if I knew I'd be dead, no worries, right?
