No, humans can't live on or even touch mercury. it is HOT and nearest to the sun. nickel and a lot of other metals are melted into cloud. the surface is melt to and we wouldnt survive in the air on it if it was't close to the sun

This is a very interesting question. At the north and south poles of Mercury, there appears to be the radar signature of ice, yes water ice. These radar reflections are thought to come from areas at the poles that are in crater bottoms that are permanently shadowed from the sun. If this is true, then a space colony could easily exist in one of these craters, where the temperature never rises much above a few tens of degrees above absolute zero.

Well, in my opinion, no. Because humans cant survive for 2 reasons. 1. There is no oxygen found in Mercury, only Earth has. 2. Humans cant survive there because of its, temperature. Its temperature is not only very hot. Half of the planet is very hot and the other half is very freezing because of rotation. The other half is facing the sun (which makes it very hot) which makes the other half face other half (which makes it very cold). I hope I answered your question.

Mercury has a surprising temperature range of -173 to 430 C. It also has a very high density of 5.44 g/cm3. It is not a world we would want to visit, nor one where life could be expected to survive.

Not comfortably. The best we could manage would be at one of the poles so we could stay between the hot and cold sides. And then there's all that solar radiation you'd have to shield against. Bring your own air and water!

No, it's too hot! We'd burn up. It's too close to the sun.
