It's my country, the land I was born in. I may not like everything we have going on right now, but I would rather live here than anywhere else I know of.

It's a country like every other in the world. There is good & bad about every country and some will argue it's the greatest country in the world. Others can argue it's a violent society which is fueled by the almighty $.
There are some beautiful places in the country and some great people... same goes in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, England, Scotland, Holland, France, Italy, Russia, Australia, China, Japan, Kuwait, etc....

Nothing although a little less nationalism and a stronger sense of looking out more for the other guy wouldn't hurt.
It's all well and good to feel proud about one's country, but not to the point you think you have the monopoly on being right.

I love this country and proud to say that I served in the military for it too. I believe in what our flag represents and glad to enjoy the freedoms that many Americans take for granted. God blessed this country and I will never forget that or the men and women who fought for our freedoms that we now enjoy. I am patriotic and still get tears in my eyes when Old Glory is rising and they play The Star Spangled Banner.

It is my country and I take pride in what the US stands for. We are all blessed to live in a land where we have the freedoms that we do -- I know others who have lived in other countries as missionaries or as government workers where you could not worship as you wanted, and had to be wary of what you did and said -for fear of reprisals by the government or police.
Count your blessings to be living in a country that stands for individual freedoms and liberty.

I love America. I proudly served in it's armed forces for 23 years. We certainly have our problems, but I believe in my heart that there is nothing, we, as a people, cannot overcome.
