Is being nappy-headed really a bad thing? I thought, up until now, that it meant how my hair looked after sleeping on the couch.

My God! My comments were just meant to be a silly joke. It's just completely ridiculous that such an uproar has arisen because of a stupid statement by an over-the-hill shock jock.

if it weren't so many blacks on the team, he wouldn't even have said that. most blacks have kinky or nappy hair but it doesn't give Imus' wild looking, wooly-haired a s s room to pick on those girls. if the team were mostly white, hard core girls, do you think he would of called them trailer trash hos or flat booty hos?

Depends on if you have a ghetto pass or not, and if you've been called a nappy headed "ho", which is also an insult to women of any color.

I have heard Oprah Winfrey refer to her childhood when she was "a nappy-headed little girl". But Imus put a mean spin on it and it just fell out of his lazy mouth. It's the Ho that clinched it. Now he's yesterday's news (I hope). Rappers need to stop too.

he's old and grumpy is all. rappers and comedians are alot worse than he is. he will suffer forever as a result. its just unfair that others are pointing fingers who have done the same thing in reverse at times such as rev. jj had.
