I started modelling recently this year.
Have had lots of great feedback and some great oppertunitys offered to me.
Its Mainly Fashion/Glamour/Lingerie & promotional work (as i cant do catwalk cos im only 5'3)

However im thinking of quitting as i get alot of ***** lasses affecting my confidence by saying im fat, ugly and shouldt even be a model etc...
this really hurt my feelings and makes me think about straving myself and i feel really down

my pics are on myspace at:
www. myspace . com / morganbaileyofficial

Please give me some advice :(

Whether or not you decide to stay in modeling, I suggest you find a good counselor to work on your self image.

Your role models are strongly aligned w/ your professional aspirations. In a cut throat field like modeling, it would be useful to have other interests and role models to lean on. At the moment, the majority of your self-image is based on your body image so you are extremely vulnerable.

Exploring your other attributes and talents will help you see yourself in more ways than one and make you stronger. It also might help you decide whether or not to stay in modeling or find other careers to pursue.

There are other things to do related to fashion. For example:
1) Be a photographer
2) Set designer
3) Graphic and print design for ads
4) Marketing & merchandising
5) Sales
6) Professional makeup artist, stylist
7) Work on the business side of modeling @ an agency as a booker, agent, scout, promoter
8) clothing designer

Or maybe you will find yourself going in another direction. Good luck.

Well looking at your pics i wouldn't say you are fat or ugly, but I am sorry i think that if you cannot handle the comments made by others than you should get out of modelling!!

Modelling is going to be full of b**chy people because they are probably like you - insecure also - and thus are just b**chy about others in order to make themselves feel good about themselves. You also have to remember modelling is a job that is about looks, and until you can accept that you find yourself attractive the job will just bring you down eventually, because you have to accept that not everyone is going to find you attractive! You need to be able to handle that side of things - you can't have everyone like you!!

The bottom line is either learn to ignore such childish comments and find ways to like yourself despite comments made by others, or get of modelling!!

That is how it is with models. They compete against each other and try to be the best looking and they get jealous of each other.
Just be yourself and model and have fun and dont listen to them. If it bothers you too much just quit because models are all too skinny and not even that attractive except when they get just the right photo. I like real beauty. Most models are too fake and manufactured for the camera.
So just take it for what it is and have fun with it but dont take it too far.

put it this way agencies wouldn't have you on there books if they didn't like your look don't be bothered what other people think at the end of the day there not paying your wages and there prob jealous of you because your beautiful, i wouldn't starve yourself it wont do any good you need all your energy, you don't need to be stick thin to be a model as you have proved so just take any bad comments and strive off them.

1)first of all do you like modeling , do you enjoy it...do you care so much about what other people say...do you care so much that you would want to quit modeling..if so then you should because that means you actually do like modeling that much
2)secondly if you really like modeling you wouldnt care about what other people think about you since you obviously dont look that bad since you have opputunities that people give you
3)lastly its ok if your only 5'3 ...you dont have to catwalk...it seems nice but can be hard..try for something else like modeling for accessories

I think the most important thing is that you are happy with what you do. It doesn't matter what other people say, as long as YOU like your modeling work. And one day, when you are famous, the people who laughed at you will wish they had been nicer.

By the way, I saw your pictures. Damn! Keep in it!

Modelling is a cut throat business and you need to have a thick skin to succeed. If it upsets you when people say your fat or ugly, then this is not the job for you.

hey babe u don't have to care about what people say as long as you feel good on what you doing, the only one who can judge your self is your conscious and god so what ever you think is going to be good for you you are the only one who decide what to do with your life. by the way can you send me a pic mrborderjumper@yahoo.com

I think you are very beautiful and I personally think you should stay in it, but if its bringing your self image down and making you think about starving yourself then i would quit cuz thats not the right path to go down. You should just ignore them though, theyre just jealous anyways
