The answer would be B. For every inch in height, speed increases by 5 M.P.H. So in this case the speedometer reads 40 and your doing 45.

b. Depending on the difference in tire diameters it can make a difference. I know, I was stopped by the cops for doing 7 mph over and I kept the speed right on 55mph.

So, in my case, it was 7mph difference.

Depending on the type of car a dealer can change the computer so your speed is correct. Do you mean wider or taller?

well your engine is putting out about 40 mph, but since you have larger tires you will cover more ground per tire rotation so I say your going faster
