I do not agree with him on everything, but I do believe that we need a more sensible immigration policy than we have now. In particular, we need some sort of naturalization policy for people who have come over the fence; it should be more difficult than for legals, but not impossible.

No, I am a Republican but I do not agree with him or any Democrat on immigration. The fact is both parties art impelled to give them any sort of amnesty which is simply a way to shield their corporate donors. Anyone Candidate who has the integrity to try to honestly address this problmen will be squashed by both parties and the voters of the U.S. will fall for their schemes. Shame, shame!

Im not a registered republican but im a conservative, and Bush has been absent on immigration issues except the wall which isnt goin to fix the problems.
Besides politicians like tancredo and hunter immigration problems are being ignored by both sides.

Yes, I do agree with the president on immigration..I think the president should be able to give the mexicans a chance to be here as long as they follow his orders..Which, pay 3500 for every 3 years to work here as long as they learn to speak english...I know the Mexicans in my community would agree with that..Most want to stay here to work and support their family...So..I give a thumbs up to president for that!

Contrary to what you may think conservatives do not praise every move of the president. Especially considering illegal immigration. The borders need to be closed to the illegals and the ones that are here deported.

No! President Bush is very wrong on this. I believe we should shut our borders and deport all illegals to their country of origin. I voted for him twice, but just because I liked the person who was running against even less.

Give citizenship to illegal aliens already in the United States IF they have a job IF they have no criminal record IF they're willing to pay all back taxes due and IF THEY LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH! I live in San Diego, and personally I'm sick and tired of seeing Mexican flags on cars and non-english speaking mexcians taking my food order at restaurants.

Actually no... his policy on immigration sucks... If it wasn't for the war the libs would be falling at his feet over that issue.
