Good one!

Dunno but it ranks WAAAYYYYY up there.

P.S. Kudos for having thought of this; of all of Ronnie's accomplishments, I'd never considered this one - and it was a HUGE accomplishment, wasn't it? Just imagine if that poster child for sweater-wearing, hand-wringing, and whining had hung around for four more years - I shudder to think of the consequences what with the Soviets on the march in Nicaragua, Angola, Grenada, Afghanistan and elsewhere and the '60s wack-job "liberals" on the march here in the good ol' US of A!

Reagan promoted growth quickly in areas where the potential for growth in the private sector business climate, was greatest. Carter had a problem with Chrysler completing long term contracts for government vehicles among other things. Carter's one term improved on something which was fast becoming a major problem at the time, embittered apathy toward the Executive Branch, by the people in general and a continuance of domestic oil exploration, by entering long term contracts with American domestic suppliers. He could freeze the flow where he needed to, preventing regional fluctuations in supply and demand by paying slighly more for tankers of domestic crude, preventing foreigners from manipulating our own home supply of fossil fuel enrgy.

both Reagan and Carter labored very not problem-free of their own strategies to objective to serve "the american human beings". i'd might want to provide the nod to Carter though as being better "enthusiastic" about the technique. Reagan labored in spurts, in numerous circumstances taking naps and breaks, and then transforming into lively on something. He also concentrated on some key aspects, without gaining understanding of the info of something. Carter is established for operating lengthy hours on many matters, and being committed to attempting to finish as a lot as a threat. Carter has also labored many better years at operating for the conventional public sturdy. Reagan became politically lively from very type of 1962 to 1989 (26 years), at the same time as Carter became politically lively from very type of 1962 until eventually immediately (40 seven years).

Carter did that all by himself. Reagan ending the cold war was a hell of a feather in his cap. He also knew exactly how to deal with Iran when they acted up.
Carter flopped when confronted by Iran.

On further reflection... I might have to say that making the appeaser Peanut Carter a one term president might have been as big of an accomplishment as winning the cold war. The enemy from within can oftentimes be greater than the enemy on the outside.

Nope..... it was bombing Libya into the stone age. Momar Qaddafi threatened us and we blasted him. He left us alone. Maybe if the other Presidents grew some "changas", our family members wouldn't be half a world away.
