If this is your first time getting birth control pills then yes most likely you will have to have a pelvic exam and pap smear. You can always ask to speak to the dr in plainclothes first before it comes to the exam. Some drs also insist on doing a regular exam there even if you have been on the pill for a while because of the fact that things can change during the time that one is getting the next prescription for their birth control pills.
