This was from a Wal-mart to my house, with pretty good amount of stopping and starting, at about 35 mph throughout. I read another question about this, but that was for a short distance, so some help here would be appreciated.

Basically, the pads/shoes were pressing on the disk/drum all the time you were moveing. It will have gotten quite hot, and worn the pads/shoes down a bit, but that's all.

Just don't make a habit of it.

If the brakes were on fairly tight, you could have started a fire and burned the car up. You may have glazed the linings over, you can see if they still hold the car. You most likely are fine, and didn't do anything other than burn up a lot of emergency brake pad.

Should be fine. Worst case a bit of extra wear but nothing to worry about.
