I have been assigned to researched Seamus Heaney for a poetry project. So far, I hate all of his poems that I have read, but I am not allowed to change poets. Any tips?

There is nothing wrong with saying you don't like poetry from one author ... the question is can you explain why? If you can, then you are okay. Just remember, you have to PROVE it.

I haven't read the Volsunga Saga since eight grade so I can't really help you other than to say that there was a recent publication of the legend of Sigurd and Gudrun by Tolkien that came out. While not the whole saga ( and I cant recall if it owed more to the Volsunga version or the Nebilungiled) it is definitely worth a read.

As someone said you do not have to like the poet.

Have you read Limbo? I have always seen that poem as a very intense piece of writing. It deals with views on religion, the death of a baby at the hands of it's mother. It's a strong piece of poetry, and beautifully symbolic, and sad.
