on the sim 2 website go to dowloads and under sim i see all these hairstyles and when i play my game and go create a new family i don't see the hairstyles that were on the website. how do i get the hairstyles that were on the website with out downloading them

oh yea also when i play the sims 2 body shop there is an option for young adult but in the actuall game there is only toodler, child, teenager, adult, and elder what happend to the young adult???

Mod is short for modification.
Those hair styles are custom designed by other people. If you want those things, you have to download them yourself, it's automatic or anything.
Try reading your game manual for further information about how to install them properly, and read the instructions on the sims 2 website on how to download them.

This is a mod. Mods need to be put in spiecal folders or else it won't work. Try getting someone to email you a nopad instrution booklet in how to install the mod.

well the only way I see it working properly is with the download, so just download it...
