Potassium has one valance electron in an s orbital.
Fluorine has seven valence electrons; two of them are in an s orbital and five are in p orbitals.
Magnesium has two valence electrons, both are in an s orbital.
Boron has three valence electrons; two of them are in s orbitals and one is in a p orbital.
