the lighting in my Eclipse aqurium tank has gone out -- one bulb went dead completely, the other one lights up a little by the ends. I have tried changing the bulbs but still the same, can someone tell me if there is another part that I need to change, or should I change the whole lighting hood? Thanks.

The problem may not be the lamp, but the ballast or the end caps. I've noticed that there's a lot of moisture build-up in the fixture, and heat can build up if you run the light a lot. You might want to take it somewhere that does lighting repair work and find the exact cause of the problem before you spend money buying replacement parts.

you might want to go back to the place you bought the lighting. I can always go home and check mine tonight. I have the same one.. only had it a month.. and the lighting isn't all that good! Filter is great though.. but if you didn't keep your box you should check with a petstore..
