The locks on the car door are stuck closed and I can't figure how to get them open. I don't want to resort to pulling the frame off. It's after 5, so an auto shop is out...@#$%&@! Any suggestions?

Oh, and it's gonna rain soon and note the mention of "after 5" means the shops are closed.

while lifting the door handle as to open the door, use a screwdriver and pull up on the curved latch that hits when it tries to close. It should spring back into the correct possition.

I'm not sure I get this.... ur door is open? As in u can get in and drive the car? If so, I would just drive home very slowly & then call up a friend or someone who likes to fool around with cars & get them to help unstick the locks.

Do you have a slim jim? You could try sliding it through the top of the window if it's cracked just a little bit. But I think your best option is to find a man to help you. Most are more mechanically inclined and can improvise in these situations. Good luck!

ALL of them are stuck? Why? Are they frozen? If it's from the cold, get some kind of hot liquid to throw on them.

If you've locked yourself out, get some one with a coat hanger to try and jimmy it open (or call a tow truck).

If they're corroded, you'll be out of luck. Just call a tow truck. There are 24-hour towing services to call, but they won't be cheap. Good luck!

Open the trunk, most of the late model vehicle have a release for the back seat. Fold the seat down & crawl through.

If it's stuck open as I described, I know it's that latch thing. It "rotates" (part of it), then it will shut correctly.

Try the door handle, the lock, up and down, etc. try "rotating" part of that lock mechanism... it will suddenly pop the way it's supposed to be.

know when i was little my mom did the same thing. I told her is it your car?"yes".Can you identify most of the stuff about it?yes". then you have nothing to fear if the police come. so she broke in HER car.

unless your inside cause in that case you have a clear reason to do what you planned or brake it off.
that or you can just go to the nearest place and tell the cops your story. as ever embarrassing as it may be.

You can call the police, and then they will probably get you a locksmith. Unless its cold were you are and the locks are frozen, then you can heat them up by blowing on them sometimes. Good Luck!!

If you've got insurance on your car, then you could give them a call and find out if you have road side assistance. If you have that, then they can send someone out there to unlock your doors for you.

You could try breaking the window. At least then you can still drive it. Or, you can call Enterprise or another car rental service to supply you with a car until you get your car fixed.
