Knowing nothing about your Grandmother personal likes and dislikes......Happy Birthday Grandma!.........I can only make suggestions that I know my grandmother likes.

I would make things like a bouquet of pictures. I took an antique looking crafting metal can/bucket and put glass rocks and the fake water. Before pouring the fake water in it, I took tongue depressors and put colored pipe cleaners around it to make them look like stems. For the top, I cut out Flower shapes of different colored construction paper and then cut out pictures of all her children and placed them on the flower part. I arranged the "flowers" in the glass rocks how I wanted them along with some real fake flowers around them and then poured the fake water. She absolutely loved her bouquet of pictures I made for her.

I have also made other things in the past like: Put all her grandchildrens names on a mug, Got a Black sweatshirt and then Put the paint on the front and said My Grandchildren: and all our names. On the back of it I put: MY CHILDREN: and put the year they were born with their names. She wears that to our annual get together.

You could also take her out to eat if she like to get out. You could take her shopping for herself for an outfit. I don't know how well she gets around. Take her somewhere where she loves to go. Take her to see a movie.

Enjoy your Grandmothers Birthday and hugs to her from me too.

The best thing to give her is time. But if you want to give her something else I'd suggest a photo album with pictures from over the years. Especially if you have photos of her and her husband when they were first married, their children when they were little, etc.... Basically pictures throughout her life.

Also, a nice arraignment of flowers is always good. They love those things.

What a wonderful occasion to celebrate and especially with all the family surrounding her to share that moment. As a way to celebrate her life, who she is and what she's meant to you, you might consider going through the family photographs from when she was a child, young girl, teenager, young adult, wife, mother, etc, any trips, jobs or special events or projects she may have been involved in and have them compiled into a slide show to commemorate the special and unique person she is. This could be played at the celebration.

Your family could also record or write their special memories of her in a booklet that would be shared with everyone. Another possibility could be to also take 12 special photos of her to a printing shop and have them developed into a calendar.

One thing that I did with my grandmother was to record my interviews with her about what she remembered, the family stories of her youth and how she met my grandfather. This recorded history was then distributed to other family members and when she eventually passed away, we still have her memories in her own voice to cherish.

My grandma turned 90 just over two years ago. Family through a party for hur, and I recall that one of the gifts was a nice album of pictures of her and the family, but the cover of it looked like a picture frame. She liked it quite a bit.

Well I guess I'm going to go with the obvious.... a picture.
Why not get one of those frames where you click it and it changes the picture. So, if you have 7 pictures you could have a different one every day.

The day of the party take lots of pictures and tell her you're going to come over and pick the ones she likes the best. What could be a nicer gift...the frame or you coming again?

I wish her health and continued blessings

You could always give her something usefull like one of those sticks with the claws at the bottom to help her pick things up or a magnifying glass,Or you could even get a lot of your best pictures of the family and get them computerised and made into one big picture. Then put it in a nice big frame. You can also do the same with home videos and put them on DVD.GOOD LUCK.

I would suggest a priceless gift, such as a photo album of all your family moments as i belive pictures are a brilliant birthday present as everybody appreciates them. Or if she is in good health a family get together, meal or a day out to somewhere she really likes.

the best gift you could give to her is to spend a whole day with her and let her tell you all her stories about her childhood and relive the past with you and take her words of wisdom and write them all down in a book together and follow them and honestly this will be the best gift anyone could have given her in all of her 90 years
