Jedidiah mean "Beloved by God" which is what all children are so I think it is a beautiful name. i went to school with a guy named Jedidiah and he went by Jed.

It reminds me of Jedidiah Clampet.. Beverly Hill billies.. but its a good ole fashioned name that is not used much any more. If you like it, go for it. Im all for different names. Its a true Bible name as well. "One notable exception to the acceptance of a God given name was the man to whom God gave the name Jedediah. When this person was born, we read that "The LORD loved him; and because the LORD loved him, He sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah." The name Jedidiah means, "loved by the LORD".

I think of the movie "Night at the Muesuem" because in the movie there was this little guy named Jedidiah. I really like the name sounds really cool!

I've never heard it but Jebidiah is the name of a band from Western Australia, I think that's pretty cool

I love it-- it's not some stupid thing you made up, it's very classic, and it's original because although it is a very old name, it's not trendy and overused.

However, the proper spelling is "Jedediah".
