Of course the biggest factor is whether your breasts are large enough and causing you enough problems to have a reduction. If you really want it done then you will know. A lot of people say that the reasons for breasts reductions are back, neck, shoulder etc pain, but I am 21, 5'3 and I have 34G breasts- I do have back and neck pain and a slight curvature of the spine due to the fact thtat mine weigh 2.5 kilograms each- but my main reason for getting the reduction is that I want smaller, sexier, perkier breasts which suit my body frame more, and so that I can once again take up old activities like jogging and karate which I used to love.
Each woman that has had a reduction has had it done for various different reasons. You should meet with a Plastic Surgeon to discuss the possibilites of a Breast Reduction, and to get an idea of whether this interests you.

Have a look at this website:
www.locateadoc.com
On this site you can view about 300 before and after pictures of Breast Reductions, watch animated 3D videos of the varoius reduction techniques, look at questions which have been asked and many other interesting bits of Plastic Surgery info.

I hope this helps you and good luck with your decision :)

Visit a plastic surgeon and ask him to give you the complete information about what it involves and long-term consequences. He or she can educate you best and give you the most accurate information about it.

Scar tissue inside the breast is possible. The scars that the operation causes are extensive but are restricted to the under side of the breast, so you can wear any neckline and no one will know. The operation also causes the removal of some milk glands.

Read Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book, a comprehensive book about breast health.

It will not stop you from getting breast cancer, BTW.

I remember hearing a plastic surgeon say that lots of women who have had breast augmentation come to regret their decision, but women who have elected to have breast reduction surgery rarely do.

If you have back pain neck pain shoulder pain, grooves in your shoulders from your heavy breasts, rashes under your breasts from them sagging, if you pinch your nipples by rolling over in bed at night. You could benefit from a breast reduction.

A few sites to check out:

http://www.breasthealthonline.com has a FAQ and support section for breast reduction, it helped me out TONS before and after my surgery.

http://www.bfar.org talks about breastfeeding after reduction.

If your back hurts or if your posture is not-so-great because of your breasts, then you should ask your doctor about getting a breast reduction.

it really depends on your situation. do they hurt your back? do you think they look too big? are you willing to go through the intense pain of the reduction surgury? Are you comfortable with yourself, and do you think you still will be afterwards? Don't let anyone else influence you, this is a very big decision that only you can make. Good luck.

If the size of your breast breaks down your self esteem, makes you feel awkward or self conscious. If you want to have the reduction for YOU and your own peace of mind, and not to please any one else but you for you.

Thank god you have big enough breasts. If they are sagging or giving you problems than why not. i know a young girl who had the surgery... she was fine really quick and seemed satisfied.
