Theoretically a shower would because you use more water by keeping the water running. So, if you are looking to save water, take a bath, but remember, you are sitting in a tub full of your own filth.

My suggestion: Save the bath for soaking, or fun activities with your significant other and take a shower. Scrub yourself really clean and don't worry about conserving water.

a bath. just try this once, put the plug in while you are taking a shower and record the depth. then the next time take a bath. unless you like shalow baths, the shower uses about 1/3 the amount of water that a bath does

Bath.

Try this: the next time you take a shower, plug the drain and see how much water you use compared to if you filled up the tub to take a bath.

If you're a teenager definitely a shower. All the 40 gallons of hot water is gone afterward.
I'm an old navy man, get wet, soap up , rinse off.
It can go either way with a shower.
Does anyone still use a bath tub ?

next time you take a shower plug the drain and see if there is more or less water in the tub when you are finished with your shower than you would use for a bath.because i would have to say it would depend on how long your showers are.

shower . if you have a tub that also has a shower in it then try plugging the tub and shower regularly. if it fills up before you are done then you know. remember it also depends on how long of a shower someone takes. a five minute shower would use less water than a 20 minute one.

I have actually tested this theory and here is my results.lol
I plugged up the tub one day before I started my shower and by the time I was done showering, there was no more water in the tub than if I filled the tub up to take a bath. They both use the same amount of water for me.If you don't believe it, try it for yourself one day. lol
