I am an Army wife of 7 years. My husband has been deployed 3 times. In the days that your fiance will be visiting, just be together, enjoy every minute. Talk and laugh. I don't think he care what the two of you do as long as you are by his side.

You should spend a few hours tubing down the salt river. It's really fun. You rent a tube and just float down this lazy river that snakes through the desert. There's a shuttle that drops you off at the beginning and there are a few pick-up spots. So you can go for 1 hour, 2 hours, whatever you want. Plus, the drive out there is really nice. I think it costs like 9 dollars or something ridiculously cheap. You get there by taking the beeline highway out by the foothills. Ask anyone. Have fun with your man!

phoenix and it's surrounding cities are a lot of territory to cover. There are several culinary schools that crank out a lot of ambitious young chefs with all kinds of wacky ideas that run short lived yet brilliant restaurants. There are many classic takes on mexican food as well as many modern. You'll also find southwestern taken to it's finest level. Add a hundred resorts and every chain possible and Phoenix is a great place to eat. If you were visiting me, depending on our spending limit, my short list of places to take you would include.. pizzaria bianco circa 1900 roaring fork seesaw salt cellar carlsbad tavern los olivos my florist cafe pita jungle and since you mention pubs I'd suggest four peaks brewery in tempe

I don't think Body Worlds will still be in town then, but the Science Museum is fun! (May not sound fun, but check it out. You'll be surprised!)
Definately something indoors... Ice skating at the Jobbing.com Arena (formerly the Altell Ice Den) or bowling are good choices.
Take a day trip to Lake Pleasant or stroll through Old Scottsdale.
Lot's to do, just depends on your taste.

Take a drive up to Sedona, hike the beautiful West Fork trail then get a couples massage and stay a night or two at one of the many spas/resorts there. Done this before and I must say, it was one of my most memorable experiences since moving here. Have fun with your honey!

Stay at home and have lots of fun!! Ask him what he is up for?? Does he want to go sight seeing, or just stay at the house and relax? Do what he wants to, seeing that he is leaving for a while.. It'll be unforgettable I'm sure. :)

Seriously, I'd think he couldn't care less about places to see or things to do.
Just be with him and make the most of your time together.
