I used to work for Daewoo Motor America and we distributed the Lanos during the time Daewoo was in this market. It was a small, reliable city car with the manual transmission. If it had the optional automatic both fuel economy and performance suffered terribly. On the highway it was terribly underpowered in either version and had difficulty accelerating up to highway speed for merges. Daewoo is no longer sold in the US and finding people to work on them is rare; finding parts in the aftermarket parts stores is even rarer. If its a US car, I'd stay away from it. I don't know about other markets. Daewoo automobile was purchased by General Motors in 2001 and they are still made in Korea and in Poland and sold in Europe and Asia.

Hope that answers your question

keep finding out to purchase. heavily, the Daewoo Lanos is a horribly designed and equipped vehicle. With 72k miles on it, you've a "extreme mileage" one. The resale value is undesirable, the reliability is undesirable, and the aspects you've "discovered" will be expensive, as well. The neon isn't a nasty vehicle, yet with the mileage, you're also searching at some topics.
