You should tell them BEFORE they ask. If you show them that it concerns you that you did so poorly they can't be mad at you. Then you can work together to find a way to improve for the next quiz.

If it is on your mind this much, just tell them and get it over with. You will feel better getting it off of your chest even if you might not like the consequences. When you parents see your report card and it isn't good, then they will find out so you might as well get it over with now.

You should 'fess up before they find out another way. One of the hallmarks of growing up and learning how to become an adult is the ability to take responsibility for one's actions. In this case, I believe the actions were failure to study, right?? The choice was yours and you chose not to open your books.

Tell them, and then ask the teacher if she/he can make a way for you to be redeemed. Maybe some extra credit.

if they praise you when you do well in school and you know that you did your best effort in spite of the ¨f ¨, i don´t see why not.
if they nag you only when you flunk or if they don´t support your efforts, they don´t deserve to be told. somethings are better left unsaid if no good is gonna come out of it.

Maybe not and even if they come to know just tell them that the test was so hard and most of the class failed.

Yes because they could very likely know anyway in your report cards or whatever. Do it early so you won't have to procrastinate your mind.

Yes, you should so you can earn their trust. They are not going to punish you for being honest.
