So far, Rent. I saw the touring cast back in November, and they were fantastic!
Now, I watched the full production of the Rent German cast on Google Video. Now, THAT is my favorite cast of Rent!
But I'm going to get really technical. I watched the performance of Notre Dame de Paris on DVD (No it wasn't a movie persay, they filmed them performing in front of an audience. It was live) Now that's the best musical I've seen on stage ; ]

The Lion King was breath taking! The Drowsy Chaperone was hysterical! Wicked was phenominal! Mostly, all Broadway shows are amazing!

'South Pacific', the upperclassmen in my high school around about 1982 did a fine job with the music and the stage presentation was very pleasant and beautiful. "I'm gonna wash that man right out a my hair~ and send him on his way...!!! I also have to mention' Music Man' the play my kids were in my boys were around 10yrs. young and their cousin the same -one part was the shapoo-pee dance! Very cute I was partial because my kin performed this part , actually that was a hard play to put on they almost had to call it quits but they did it and it was amazing also.

In New York, on Broadway, early 80's, I was privileged to see Richard Kiley reprise his original role in "Don Quixote".....AWESOME.
A close second is in Philadelphia, Academy of Music, early 80's, to see Yul Brynner reprise his role as "The King of Siam" - AKA "The King and I". Was so close I probably could have touched him....it was a WOWER!!
