Better not to have a fish in a bowl in the first place, but adding food coloring shouldn't make matters any worse. Consider getting a tank to replace the bowl. You fish will do much better in the long run.

The male will kill the female most likely unless they both want to mate then and only then you could get babies BTW bowls are for eating out of they dont work for fish. Bettas are no exception. He will probably die before his natural time because he is in a bowl. Bettas are fish. fish need. A tank, clean water, a filter, oxygen in the water (just cause they breath from the surface doesnt mean that is the only way they breath... bettas water oxygen and air oxygen to be happy), the right water temperature and food. There are NO exceptions. If you dont give them those then they will lead unhappy lives and die a lot faster

No! The litic acid in the food coloring will get trapped in the fish's swim bladder. Lets just says you'll kill it

No - While it would be safe for us humans to consume food coloring, it is not for fish. They breathe in this water and you would not want them breathing in that dye.
