I just opened a new checking account and am lost in all the details. How do I write the checks? What do I do with all this other stuff I have in my checkbook (adds and duplicate checks). I haven't ever used checks before and am really new at this. Until now i've just used a credit card and cash. Any information would be helpful.

Go to this website -- it will give you step by step instructions on how to write a check and keep your register. It will show you step by step what to do and it will explain all the terms.

Your bank will be more than happy to show you how to write checks. And they will do it in person and for free with people who know how. You can't get better service than that.
