A lot of prognosticators have suggested that the best player in the draft is WR Calvin Johnson, but that the first pick by Oakland will be QB JaMarcus Russell. However, if the Raiders trade Randy Moss and/or Jerry Porter, they could very well take Calvin Johnson.
The Raiders may try to trade down, but I doubt many teams will trade with them when the Lions' pick at #2 will be less expensive and likely get them whom they want. So the Raiders have to make a tough choice. In the end, I'm guessing Calvin Johnson goes first to whichever team ends up with the first pick (again, probably the Raiders).

Put it this way... I do not think the QB's in this draft are very strong... I think Russell is OK and Quinn is amazingly overrated. I say whoever gets Calvin Johnson is really getting the #1 draft pick because hes an absolute beast that will be like Randy Moss when he first came into the league and dominated.

The raider will be taking russell. They are in love with him. The only reason their are rumors to the contrary is that teams dont' want everyone to know who they are going to take. The better question is, how many times will russell get sacked due to the lack of an offensive line in oakland?

Jamarcus Russell, if Oakland keeps Randy Moss, they should get a QB that has a nice deep ball and Russell has a great deep ball, and Randy is great at catching deep balls, so it makes sence.
