This is a loaded question. You are asking a racial question, and yet, you are asking that people censor their replies. Personally, I don't feel that there is any discrimination going on against Sanjaya. What is going on is that he IS a horrible singer, and should have been voted off long ago. Period. End of story. Nothing to do with his skin color or other life choices.

If that were true, he would have been eliminated a long time ago. Most of the kids holding the support posters are caucasian as well.

The people that I know that don't like Sanjaya is because his singing isn't up to par. After all he sounded much better when he tried out for the show, than he has singing in the show.

In my opinion I think his sister may have done a lot better.

I don't discriminate against him at all. I thought he was good in the beginning when he was signing his stuff ( old songs ) but that's not what American idol is about. Its about being hip and new. And having an awsome voice ( well ok sometimes) I dont think now that he is that great of a signer ( not as good as some on their) Like rocker chick Jena last week should have never gotten kicked off. But I think Sanjaya is just having fun but he is a huge goofball and personally I dont like him I think hes kind of creepy but o well I still watch and like the show

I think that Sanjaya isn't as talented as other contestants that have already been kicked off the show.
I don't find that fair, and I don't believe that playing the race card is appropriate in this situation.
I am an ethnic minority and don't appreciate when people "cry wolf" about racism.
Idol is a show about talent, and based on talent and talent alone, Sanjaya is clearly below standard.

Many people attribute Sanjaya Malakar's continued success on American Idol to the influence of The Howard Stern Show, and websites like;

The dislike for Sanjaya has to do with his singing and his various hairdos, NOT his nationality. It's not discrimination, it's just people saying that Sanjaya doesn't deserve to have gotten as far as he has.

I havent really seen or heard people saying racial comments about Sanjaya. But I do think that he does not sing as well as some of the other participants. He loves the camera, and it loves him back. But he cannot sing. Entertains the pants off of the American public, but again, I wouldnt pay to listen to him.

There is no racism here. If you close your eyes and listen you will realize this guy can't sing. He whispers when he performs and even forgot the words to one of the songs.

The fact that Melinda, Lakisha, and Jordin are still there will show you that the criticisms are not based on the color of ones skin or their ethnic background.
