Hold him for ransom. Definitely. Who would want to sit next to a ceramic gnome on an airline flight? With the ransom money, you could travel and buy your own souvenirs.

that is the new marketing campaign from travelocity i have seen him too, the trick is to catch him and he gives you a substantial discount on travel. but you have to wear the gnome hat everywhere you go
