I've heard recently that only about 5% of archeaologic finds have been discovered.

i think that is definitely a possibility.

i believe there is a whole world of things that we don't know yet. if we consider that atlantis might have existed what kind of technology could they have had?
how much much has been lost? maybe someday we'll rediscover what has been lost.

just my thoughts.

In a word, NO. The ancients did not have secret/ alien/esoteric knowledge, this is simply wishful thinking, glamourized through the haze of history, and encouraged by new-age gullible thinking. What we have NOW, few people can understand, THAT is the "hidden knowledge".

Doubtful. They only cracked making metal a few thousand years ago.
