how long will it take for my baby guppies to grow big enough so i put them in the normal tank? i don't want to put them in too early because i have many other fish too. none are really agressive but i'm still not sure

What you are looking for is for the babies to be too big for the adults to eat. That generally happens about 6-8 weeks dependsing on tank conditions and feeding.

Actually it's not so much the size,but how much their little skeletons have hardened.That being said,if they won't fit in momma's mouth they should be OK.
