looks like deer ate all the end of branches. will they come back

mine too,, but that's what happens when the temp gets down in the 20's,,

Most Likely They Will Come Back... It Could Also Be The Low Temps.

Sounds like they had either frost hit them or a freeze.........In my part of the country May is Azalea time.
They don't have much time to snap out of it!
Sorry about the negative on the plants.

Have you had a frost/low temp. lately that would have killed the buds? You may have parasitic/aphid type infestation. Take a sample of a branch to your local nursery and see if they can help.

Take some epsom salts and sprinkle around the base of each and water in--they will leach minerals and the salts will help.
