Excellent question. If you are talking savoury then I really can't see past your classic steak pie. Although I do enjoy a chicken and mushroom pie also.
When it comes to desert pie - that is a tough one. Apple is a classic and everyone loves a sweet cherry pie, but for me, it has to be lemon merengue pie. The combination of pastry, lemon filling a sweet merengue is first class!

3) Sweet potato pie (discovered it for the very first time at Thanksgiving last year!).

My favorite pie is from baker square and its Chocolate Cream Pie, it is so good. I can eat a whole pie myself.
