anyone know how to fix the windshield wipers on a '65 chevy impala?

I have power to the switch but when i turn it on I get power on the ground wires.

The best thing to do is get a wiring diagram and trace it out. If you are getting power on the ground wires then they may not be grounded. If they were, you should be blowing fuses. If the ground is disconnected then the voltage will feed through the motor and be at full strength because it cannot return to ground. Good luck.

I would replace the switch as it might be shorting inside it.
