Solve the expression... 9x(4x + 7)

First: eliminate the parenthesis > use the Distribution Property in which, you multiply the outer term with the terms in parenthesis.

9x(4x) + 9x(7)

36x^2 + 63x

multiply 9x by both terms in the parenthesis.

9x X 4x = 36x^2 ("^2" is to the 2nd power or squared.)

9x X 7 = 63x

and since its 4x PLUS 7. you put an addition sign in between those two "new terms," getting:

36x^2 + 63x

you can arrange the terms vice versa. but its easier just do order from left to right.
