It's the 2004 issue. Although 15,000,000 were minted only 32,000 were actually put into circulation. This is because it was in 2004 that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand first considered removing the 5c coin. Consequently, it held back its circulation.
There were no 5c coins minted in 2005 and 2006. So, if you find any for those years you are really in the money!! :-)

My Catalog only lists up to 1999 for New Zealand 5 cent coins and none are really rare up to that date. There is a scarce variety of 1967 that says without sea lines and it books for $35 or so in mint state. Can't help you out with the 2000-2006. I remember reading an article in World Coin News about the 5 cents and think it was 2005 or 2006, but it was a while ago and my memory is not what it used to be. Sorry I could not help further, have you tried their mint. New Zealand is a long way from New Hampshire, USA.

None of the dates till 2004 are rare. The NZ 5 cents of 2000 has a high mintage figure of 26,000,000, year 2002 has a figure of 40,500,000, year 2003 has 30,000,000, and year 2004 has 15,000,000. I don't have the figures from 2005 onwards as I don't normally purchase specialized catalogs annually. The figures for 2000 to 2004 are high, so if there's a rare 5 cent, then it must be the 2005-dated. There are also certain varieties of the 5 cents that are scarce. Such as the 1971 "no serif"(mintage 20,000), 1967 "no sea line"(1,000,000), 1980, 1981 and 1985 "smooth shoulder folds"(44000, 43000 and 31500 respectively), 1982 "pointed 2"(43000), and 1988 "flat numerals"(24,000). There are also a few low mintage dates like the 1968 issue which has a mintage of only 75,000, while issues dated 1990 till 1993 have figures below 40,000 but these were minted only for sets. Despite the presence of these scarcer varieties and lower mintages, NZ 5 cents are still inexpensive with the most valuable until 2004 being the 1967 "no sea line" variety valued at about NZ$20 in average circulated.

They used to but now it's just a 10 cent, 20 cent and 50 cent coin. I've seen and owned some NZ 5 cent coins. PS: Put this in Travel-NZ category.
