Try acupressure, there is a point on the palms of the hands. Open your thumb and trace the bone down to the vee of the palm along with the bone of your index finger. This web of the palm has an acupressure point called Hegu or Li4, a natural pain reliever point. Press with your thumb and your middle finger at the base of the web, where the 2 bones meet, you will feel it painful. This is the point. Press it for about 3 mins in a pumping motion.
A very useful pain relieving point.

Cure the problem that causes the pain in the first place !

I am a Hypnotherapist.....and Hypnosis is recognised as being the best method to control , even the pain of Terminal cancer......but we are trained , not to take away the pain......unless the problem , that causes the pain , has been taken away !

Only in conditions where the Doctor has advised painkillers , as nothing else will do.....are we allowed to intercept , reduce and get rid of pain.

In Sport where knocks and injuries are common , but not serious........or the body goes though punishing pain barriers of achievement.......athletes learn to "go through the 'pain barrier' and succeed , in whatever they do ....using the power of their own minds !

By believing there is no pain.....you will either reduce your pain....or block it off altogether !

When your body or muscles are tense.......pain gets transmitted to the brain, more efficiently....so simply by relaxing , your mind and body , by Passive or Active Relaxation, you can reduce your own pain....whatever the cause.......but don't neglect going to the Doctors......as Pain is a Warning sign...that needs to be checked out , by an expert !

1) Passive relaxation.......Breathe in for a count of 8 .....hold it for 4.......and breathe out slowly.......for 5 or 6 breaths and then relax your body parts bit by bit......arms ....legs.....feet.....head shoulders etc.....

2)Active relaxation.......Tense all the major muscle groups ......and then relax them .....one by one throughout your body.....in this order .......feet and toes......calf muscles......thighs......hip muscles.....stomach muscles......lower back muscles.......upper back muscles.......chest muscles.........neck muscles.......muscles of the scalp.......face muscles.......then chill.....

Good Luck !
