Does anybody know anything about the morning after pill??
I think its a pill you can take after you've had unprotected sex and could possibly be pregnant.
Do you know how and where you can get this pill??

Its called Plan B or "emergency contraception." Its more than 80 percent effective at preventing pregnancy after you've had unprotected sex. Buy it at the drug store. Ask your pharmacist for it -- you don't need a prescription.

You MUST take it within 72 hours of having unprotected sex or it won't work. It doesn't end a pregnancy, only prevents one.

The pill contains a very high dose of one of the hormones found in regular birth control pills. It is harsh on your body and not as effective as regular birth control pills.

You can obtain the pill only by prescription. The pill must be taken no longer than 72 hours after intercourse. Call your doctor and find out what the requirements are. Also, you can go to the ER, but there will be an outrageous bill to accompany that visit, as well as several hours of post consumption therapy about the precautions of unprotected sex.

You can get this pill from a pharmacy. You take it within 24 hours of having unprotected sex, and it will (hopefully) prevent any fertilized egg (if it were present) from attaching to the uterus. Therefore, you will not get pregnant.

But, you have to use it immediately, and don't lie about when you had sex, because if you wait too long, you can have horrible complications and make yourself really sick. So, if it's been longer than 24 hours, you need to go to a crisis pregnancy center and talk about other options.

You would either have to get a prescription from your doctor or go to your local Planned Parenthood center to get the MA pill.

I believe that it is very important on Yahoo Answers to be precise in the questions we ask and the answers we offer.

You ask, "Does anybody know . . . ?"

There can be only two possible answers to that question:

Either someone knows;
or
No one knows.

In the present case, certainly there must be someone out there who knows.

So my answer is a resounding
YES!!

But is that what you really were asking?

You can go to Planned Parenthood. I think if you are underage and without a parent with you; you may not have to pay for it. But I'm not sure that was a few years ago. Their rules changed.
