I have a friend coming home from Iraq and want to wrap Oak Trees. Have tried e-bay, craft store etc. but can't find wide ribbon.

have you tried a fabric store? like joann fabrics? they usually have all sorts of ribbon.

i searched online several different ways and came upon a website called theribbonpeddler.com they have 2 3/4 weatherproof ribbon for $6.75 for a 100 yard roll. its not just under yellow ribbon, but patriotic ribbon

you may even want to try plastic yellow ribbon--that is what we used and is very weatherproof. i saw some on ebay and im sure they have it at other craft stores
you may even want to try places that make outdoor floral arrangements
at times i have seen the yellow ribbon at jewel/osco and menards

Florists can hook you up with Flora Satin weatherproof ribbon. Tell them what you need it for and they may even just give it to you free of charge! Make sure you get something weatherproof that won't fade. This is a lovely idea!
In 1992 my dad returned home from Saudi Arabia to a town COVERED in yellow bows my Girl Scout troop made and sold. We got ribbon from a wholesale florist.

Unfortunately, I do not carry wide yellow ribbon. Have you tried Wal-mart fabric section, Michael's, A.C. Moore's, Jo-Ann Fabrics or search for yellow+ribbon+wide in yahoo to find it on-line.

let me statrt from some General about Ribbon.it have two usage or function. 1. you can use as a bandage in emergency condition for tie the affected part 2. we can use as favorite or a sign of modernization particularly the adolescents dear, yellow is a warring of the conditions a practical color utilization. so,i think there is no any specific site to tie the yellow ribbon.

i found ready made large yellow bows with ties big enough to go around a tree in ebay
